Behind every thriving family and supported individual is a caregiver—someone offering time, love, and energy with little expectation of recognition. At Serengeti Care Foundation, we believe it’s time for a shift. As a purpose-driven caregiving nonprofit, our mission is centered around uplifting caregivers and helping them rediscover their strength through education, emotional support, and community connection.
What It Means to Be a Caregiving Nonprofit
Caregivers are often overlooked by systems of healthcare and support. They work long hours—many unpaid—juggling doctor visits, medications, emotional support, and their own personal lives. Serengeti Care Foundation exists to change that narrative.
As a caregiving nonprofit, we’re focused on three core goals:
-
Reducing caregiver burnout through access to mental and emotional support
-
Providing hands-on tools and workshops to build caregiving confidence
-
Offering emergency assistance through programs like our Serengeti Care Grant Hardship Application
We don’t just offer help—we build long-term community and healing.
Uplifting Caregivers Begins with Visibility and Compassion
Too often, caregivers work in silence. At Serengeti, we make it a priority to create programs that uplift caregivers, reminding them that they are not alone or invisible. From one-on-one support to group workshops, our services bring relief, education, and acknowledgment to the forefront.
Visit our Caregivers Page to discover what’s available, including stress reduction tools, care techniques, and peer support programs. You can also access emotional health guides and caregiver tools in our growing Resource Center.
Our goal is to honor caregivers by putting their needs at the center of the conversation.
Empowering Caregivers for the Long Run
Empowerment is about equipping caregivers with the tools and support they need to thrive—not just survive. Our workshops and events are designed to instill confidence and resilience.
Through our Events Calendar, caregivers can access live training sessions, expert panels, and wellness workshops—all built to educate and empower. Topics range from practical care techniques to emotional resilience, grief management, and community-building.
We also support caregiver empowerment through volunteer support programs, where trained volunteers step in to offer relief.
